A little more about Henry

Hello, my name is Henry Lepe (He/Him/El). I am a Licensed Bilingual Mental Health Clinician (LMFT #156680) practicing in Orange County, California. As a Cisgender Latinx Gay Male, I show up authentically and strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. My therapeutic style is compassionately direct—I empower, challenge, and walk alongside you as we explore your inner world.

I specialize in working with young adults (18+) navigating identity development, emotional regulation, trauma, and relationship challenges. My approach is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), blending parts work with practical skills to support emotional healing and growth. IFS helps us understand and connect with the different “parts” of ourselves—especially those shaped by early experiences—while DBT offers tools for distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

I believe that healing begins with self-compassion and radical acceptance. You are not broken—you are resilient, worthy, and capable of change. Together, we’ll explore how past relationships and internal narratives may be influencing your present, and how to reparent your inner child with empathy and nonjudgmental understanding.

I received my Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton, and have worked in community outpatient mental health settings since 2020, primarily serving low-income families. My clinical focus includes supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals through identity exploration, same-sex relationships, coming out, internalized homophobia, and discrimination. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional detachment, and self-destructive behaviors.

Therapy is a brave and powerful choice. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to face your emotions and unpack your story. I’ve experienced trauma, anxiety, shame, and guilt—and I bring that lived understanding into our work together. My hope is that you feel safe, accepted, and empowered in our space, because your narrative matters.
