Alyssa Deneal

Hello, I am Alyssa Deneal (she/her), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT145597). I grew up in Orange County but have now settled in Los Angeles. I received my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSU Northridge and B.A in Psychology with specializations in both Human Sexuality and Africana Studies from San Francisco State University. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings over the last 10+ years including, hospitals, residentials, community mental health and outpatient facilities. I focused my training on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), TF-CBT, EMDR, trauma-sensitive yoga, and many other trauma-focused/somatic modalities to support participants in obtaining safety and reconnecting with their bodies after experiencing trauma.

When I am not at work, you can find me attending concerts (most recently, Megan Thee Stallion and SZA), hanging by the pool or the beach, crocheting and watching Netflix (I typically keep Jane the Virgin or Grey’s Anatomy on as my comfort background noise).
