A little more about Daisy
Daisy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) and a Master in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach.
During her graduate program, Daisy had experience facilitating A Windows Between Worlds therapeutic art groups for women, 10 week personal empowerment program for survivors of domestic violence, and providing therapy for children and adults at community resource center. Then Daisy transitioned to providing counseling services to children and families, who have history of severe mental illness of depression, anxiety, trauma substance use, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and mood dysregulation, in various settings within the community. She also has extensive experience in case management services in providing linkages and working with providers including probation, foster care and chronic hospitalizations. Daisy has training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She utilizes a collaborative and compassionate approach in an effort to promote self-love, self-compassion and bravery through your healing process. Daisy integrated mindfulness strategies to help individuals, staff members, and community members reconnect with themselves and foster wellness.
Daisy enjoys reading and spending time out in nature. She also loves exploring the world and engaging in playful activities to connect with her inner child. Daisy is actively involved in Latina women’s group that focuses on increasing women’s experiences in the outdoors.
